Visiting Homes

BuiltWithNOF

alachildConnie Maxwell Children’s Home has found that some children who come into care do not have family to visit. Some families are court ordered not to visit their children, and some families may not be physically able to have their children visit. We are interested in finding private families who would be willing to become visiting resources for these children. The children could visit on some weekends, holidays and days they are not attending school. To become a visiting home for Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, it is necessary to be licensed as a Visitor Foster Home. Licensure requirements include fourteen hours of pre-licensure training, finger printing, SLED, Central Registry and Drivers License checks. Also, the home must meet fire department and health standards. There is also the requirement of fourteen additional hours of training each year. Our staff assists families with these requirements. If you would like to be involved, contact: Phil Russell at 1 (843) 871-4673.
